Indian Motorcycle, the iconic American motorcycle brand, has globally unveiled the 2020 FTR Carbon. Being inspired by the championship-winning flat-tracker Indian F750, it has been listed on the company's official website in India as well, which indicates that it will also be launched in the country. Though, it is not known yet when it will be launched and what would be the launch price. The 2020 Indian FTR Carbon gets an exclusive ‘FTR Carbon’ branded centre console plate.
Speaking about 2020 Indian FTR Carbon, it is an advanced and up-market avatar of FTR 1200. As the name indicates, it gets a plethora of carbon-fibre components in the form of front fender, headlight surround, tank/airbox covers, and pillion seat cowl. The rear profile flaunts black shotgun type Titanium Akrapovic exhausts as standard fitments. As far as features and tech are concerned, it gets lean-angle sensitive stability control, ABS, traction control and wheelie mitigation control. The company has also offered three riding modes - Sport, Standard and Rain. Upon selecting any of the aforementioned ride modes, the motorcycle's throttle responses and traction control settings change according to the surface.
The 2020 Indian FTR Carbon also boasts of a fully colored 4.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster which will be compatible with Bluetooth. There is also a fast-charging USB port for Smartphones. Mechanically, the motorcycle will draw power from the same 1203cc liquid-cooled V-Twin petrol engine which we have seen in several models of Indian motorcycles previously. The engine will develop a top power of 124bhp and peak torque of 120Nm. For those asking, the Indian FTR 750 flat-tracker has won three Grand National Titles in a row in flat track racing.
