KTM has officially launched new 250 Adventure in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.48 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Today, onwards, KTM authorized dealerships are accepting bookings for the newly launched bike which is based on Duke 250. The Indian buyers can purchase the 250 Adventure on an EMI of Rs 5,500. It is affordable by almost Rs 57,000 in comparison to 390 Adventure while expensive by almost Rs 40,000 in regards to Duke 250. Also, the new bike is Rs 8,000 cheaper if we compare it to the powerful KTM RC 390. 2020 KTM Adventure 250 will rival the likes of BMW G310 GS and Hero Xpulse 200 in the country. The launch was in the offing with the production-spec unit spotted testing on India roads over the last couple of months.

KTM 250 Adventure’s aggressive design and styling will remind the Indian buyers of the powerful 390 Adventure. To make it affordable, the company swapped the all-LED DRLs with halogen headlamps. Other key design highlights are sculpted fuel tank, upswept exhaust system and shorter tail. KTM PowerParts features rolling over from the elder 390 Adventure are GPS brackets, radiator protection grille, crash bungs, headlamp protection and handlebar pad.

KTM 250 Adventure comes with an LCD instrument cluster instead of the full-colour TFT display featured in the powerful KTM 390 Adventure. The new black and white display panel will give out information like gear level position, trip meter, odometer, and a tachometer to the riders. It misses out on features like ride-by-wire, traction control, smartphone, turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

The KTM 250 Adventure is powered by 248 cc DOHC four-valve single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The bike will deliver 30 bhp of power output and 24 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by 6-speed gearbox with Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC). The WP APEX suspension system comprises of 43 mm front fork and rear shock absorber. The braking responsibilities are taken care of by a 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brake. KTM is offering dual-channel ABS as standard which can be switched off during the off-roading activities.
