Honda lately has been working on a new 2021 CB250. This further indicates that the brand is planning to expand its CB series motorcycle range overseas. The patent images of the same have been leaked online.
The images reveal that the new bike will sport a frame and bodywork similar to that of CB400 SF, which is sold in the Japanese market. The frame in the images looks like a conventional double cradle type. Furthermore, we can also clearly see an engine that is identical to the one present on the CB300R naked machine. The major highlight is the inclusion of a mono-shock rear suspension. As seen here, the mono-shock is mounted directly to the frame behind the machine’s fuel tank and to the swingarm down below.
The mono-shock setup does make it evident that CB250 will be a modern bike from Honda. This further indicates that it will come loaded with features. However, it is still not sure whether the brand will introduce this new bike to the Indian market. For now, we can expect that Honda Bikes might launch the new CB250 in Japan and other developed markets.
Lately, Honda has also been teasing the images and news about the possible return of CB900F. Honda CB900F shares most of the CB-F concept’s design traits. The CB-F concept basically draws inspiration from CB750F and CB900F sportbikes that were introduced in the early 1980s.
