Force Motors India has officially revealed the 2024 Force Gurkha 4x4 SUV in India ahead of its launch in May. The brand has also updated the 3-door version of the Force Gurkha. The price for both cars will be revealed in the first week of May. However, bookings for the Gurkha 5-door have already started. Interested customers can reserve this SUV by paying a token amount of INR 25,000. The Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door models are all set to be re-launched in the country after 4 years. The 5-door Force Gurkha is expected to be priced around INR 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
The upcoming SUV comes with significant exterior and interior updates, along with a range of new features and a robust engine. The Gurkha 5-door SUV rolls on new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. It gets a set of the latest electronically adjustable outside rear-view mirrors. The SUV retains elements like the G-Wagen-inspired design, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, LED headlamps, and the LED DRL ring. The car also features a windshield brace, a heavy-duty roof rack, and a tailgate ladder.

The Gurkha 3-door version measures 3,965 mm in length, 2,080 mm in height, and 1,865 mm in width. It has a wheelbase of 2,400 mm and a turning radius of 5.5 m. On the other hand, the 5-door version of Gurkha measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 2,095 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,825 mm and 6.3 m of turning radius.
Powering the 2024 Gurkha is a 2.6-litre diesel engine that churns out 138 bhp of power and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The unit is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, followed by a proper 4x4 system with rear and front locking differentials. After its launch in the Indian market, the Gurkha 5-door will give tough competition to the 5-door version of Mahindra Thar.
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Force Gurkha 5-door comes in both 7-seater (5-door) and 4-seater (3-door) options. The SUV gets new seats covered in twin-tone upholstery. It comes equipped with a new dashboard that features a 9-inch touchscreen display with a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. The 5-door SUV also houses other features like multiple USB ports, individual armrests, and new cupholders. The 7-seater model of the SUV sports a bench seat with an adjustable central armrest and roof-mounted AC vents, whereas the third row has two captain seats. On the other hand, the 4-seater model only receives 4 captain seats.
