The American automobile marque Jeep has launched the new Meridian X Special Edition in the Indian market. This special model is available at an ex-showroom price of INR 34.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2024 Meridian X gets cosmetic enhancements and a range of complimentary accessories compared to the standard Meridian SUV. In the brand’s lineup, the SUV is positioned between the Limited O and Overland variants. Additionally, Jeep India has reduced the price of the outgoing Jeep Meridian, which is now priced at INR 29.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bookings for the 2024 Jeep Meridian X Special Edition are currently open, and deliveries have also begun. Interested customers can reserve this SUV via the brand’s official website or by visiting their nearest Jeep dealerships across India. Notably, the new Jeep SUV will be offered only in limited numbers. As per the information available on the brand’s website, the Meridian X Special Edition gets several color schemes, such as Silvery Moon, Galaxy Blue, Velvet Red, Pearl White, Techno Metallic Green, Brilliant Black, Magnesio Grey, and Magnesio Grey.

Jeep Meridian X Special Edition Specifications

The 2024 Meridian X Special Edition is being offered with several features, including a 10.1-inch central information hub, a 10.2-inch driver display, twin-zone temperature control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, electronically manageable front seats with ventilation function, powered boot opening, a wireless charging pad, panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and connected car tech.

For safety, the SUV houses amenities like six airbags, an electronic parking brake followed by an auto hold function, adaptive brake lights, traction control, ABS with EBD and ESC, hill start assist, electronic roll mitigation, TPMS, and hill descent control. In terms of design language, the Meridian X features some styling cues, including alloy wheels with grey pockets and a grey roof. The special edition SUV also gets additional features inside the cabin, such as puddle lamps, sunshades, premium carpet mats, an air purifier, programmable ambient lighting, and front and rear dash cams.

The Jeep Meridian X Special Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 168 bhp of power and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The unit is mated to a 9-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual. The SUV is being offered with 4x4 and 4x2 options. The new car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 10.8 seconds, and it has a high speed of 198 kmph.
