JLR India has launched the 2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport in the Indian market on January 16, 2024. The mid-size SUV is available at a price of INR 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be bought in both petrol and diesel powertrain options, and it comes in a seven-seater option as well. The automaker first unveiled this SUV globally in 2023, and now it has been rolled out for Indian customers.
The latest Discovery Sport is available only in the Dynamic SE trim. Under the hood, it gets two powertrain options: a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 2.0-litre petrol engine churns out 245 bhp and 365 Nm of peak torque, while the 2.0-litre diesel engine can produce 201 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. Both powertrains are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Discovery Sport gets new 19-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels, and the company has also added a new Varesine Blue color option. The lower body sills, lower bumpers, and grille are finished in a gloss black. The SUV comes with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, leather interiors, 3D surround cameras, climate control for the third row, ClearSight Ground View, and ClearSight Rear View Mirror.
Inside the cabin, the SUV comes equipped with a floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen. It gets a redesigned centre console that gives the SUV a minimalistic look. The Discovery Sport gets the new Pivi Pro infotainment set-up that provides shortcuts to key vehicle functions and controls such as navigation, climate, and volume. The automaker says that this allows users to access 90 percent of tasks with just two taps from their home screen.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and two USB-C chargers in each row. There's a 12-volt power socket in the second row and loadspace. The SUV also gets a new gear shifter, along with shadow oak trim surrounding the unit. The new Discovery Sport has a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel. It comes with a Duoleather interior with at least two-color options. The Discovery Sport comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a PM 2.5 filtration air purifier, and 3D surround cameras.
