Maruti Suzuki, known for its reliable car models in India, has now updated its popular hatchback Wagon R for MY2025. The auto giant has been in action for the past few days. Apart from the MY2025 Wagon R, the brand has updated its key models like Grand Vitara, Alto K10, Eeco, and Celerio with 6 airbags. The prices of these models have also gone up given the addition of several safety features.
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R stands among the highest-selling cars in the Indian market. The notable car model has achieved six airbags as its latest safety enhancement. The previous edition of the hatchback included two airbags that were more basic compared to competing models.

When it comes to safety amenities, the Wagon R features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Hold Assist, and more.
The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R features 60:40 split seats, tilt steering, a dual-tone interior, a rear parcel tray, a multi-information display, AC and heater, and a 17.78 cm touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
2025 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Powertrain
Users can select from three different power choices for their Wagon R engine: a 1.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine alongside a CNG powertrain. The standard 1.0-litre engine produces 65 bhp as well as 89 Nm torque, but when used with CNG, the output becomes 56 bhp at 82 Nm torque.
The 1.2-liter engine model produces 88 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Each model of petrol engine allows customers to choose from manual and AMT transmission options, but the CNG version provides manual transmission as its sole transmission option. Maruti reports that consumers prefer their CNG powertrain over all other choices.
