Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the all-new Avenis scooter at a starting price of Rs 86,700 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The deliveries are expected to start from mid of December this year. Suzuki Avenis is offered in four dual tone color options namely Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey/Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Blaze Orange/Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Matte Black/Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White/Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey. In addition, there is a special Race Edition variant in an exclusive Metallic Triton Blue color which is priced at Rs 87,000. Earlier, it was expected that Suzuki might launch the electric version of its popular scooter - the Burgman Street.
Suzuki Avenis has been developed by the company engineers & designers keeping in mind the preferences of Indian buyers. The 125cc scooter flaunts a sporty design with a motorcycle inspired split grab rail. Moreover, it boasts of sporty muffler cover, speedy looking alloy wheels and trendy graphics with bold Suzuki branding on the floor board. The front end features a body mount bright LED headlamp while the rear profile is equipped with motorcycle inspired indicators and LED tail lamps. The scooter also gets a new external hinge type fuel cap as standard. As for Suzuki Avenis Race Edition, it comes with Suzuki racing graphics. The Avenis scooter features include Large under seat space, front box with USB socket and Bluetooth enabled digital console.

The primary highlight of the new Avenis scooter is the Suzuki Ride Connect feature. For those asking, Suzuki Ride Connect enables the rider to connect the Smartphone - whether Android or iOS - with the scooter while offering an array of bells and whistles like turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call, SMS and WhatsApp Alert display, missed call and unread SMS alert, speed exceeding warning, phone battery level display, last parked location, trip report and estimated time of arrival. Mechanically, Suzuki Avenis is powered by the 125cc FI petrol engine which develops maximum power of 8.6 bhp at 6750 rpm and peak torque of 10 Nm at 5500 rpm. It has a kerb weight of 106 kgs.
