Ampere Electric, which is known for its budget-friendly and mid-range electric scooters, has just launched the Ampere Reo 80. This is an upgrade of their previous Reo model and is designed as a low-speed e-scooter for daily use.
The highlight of this entry-level EV is that riders don't require a license or registration to drive it. Its speed is limited to 25 km/h only.
This budget EV, which is priced at Rs. 59,900, offers up to 80 km of claimed range and has an LFP battery for longer life. The Reo model competes with e-scooters like Ola S1 Z, Yo Edge, Okinawa, and Gig+.

The price of this flagship Ampere e-scooter starts from Rs. 59,900 (ex-showroom), and the deliveries of this model begin in April only.

This EV is decent for short city commutes like school runs, grocery shopping, work travel, etc., as it offers up to 80 km of range on a single charge. Ampere has achieved recognition in the India Book of Records for the long-range capabilities and durability of some of their models.
The new Reo model retains the compact form and is available in dual-tone sporty colors of Black, Red, Blue, and White. Other main features of this e-scooter are:

Ampere Reo 80 battery and specifications
This Ampere scooter has a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which improves the battery safety and lifespan. The charging time is 5.5 hours for a 1.44 kWh battery capacity.
It has an efficient DC brushless motor that produces up to 0.25 kW of power and 35 Nm of peak torque. Moreover, it offers a ground clearance of 135 mm.
