What is an Audi Q6 e-tron Off-road Car?
The Audi Q6 e-tron Offroad Concept is an evolution of the electric SUV lineup for this brand and a more extreme version of a standard Q6 e-tron. Besides integrating off-road-focused engineering in Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept, including portal axles, a significant suspension lift, and advanced all-wheel-drive technology, it's very much a more production-ready cousin to the earlier Audi Activesphere concept.

Audi Q6 e-tron Electric Suv Features
The most striking feature in the new Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept is portal axles. Built into the wheel hubs, the portal axles help uplift the differential while letting the wheels drop in relation to the axle tubes. This is a fairly massive increase in ground clearance and better articulation over uneven ground surfaces. Audi Q6 e-tron launch claims this structure increases torque on each wheel by 50 percent, for an incredible total of 13,400 Nm of combined torque.
The Audi Q6 e-tron launch is at a raised level of 160mm above the standard 6.3 inches, and track is widened by an additional 250mm above the 9.8 inches, making for better stability over tough terrain and more clearance away from obstacles. It can be climbed at 45-degree angles.
Audi Q6 e-tron Electric Suv Performance
The Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept is powered by an electric drivetrain that puts 516 hp to the road in boost mode. The concept uses a powertrain inherited from the SQ6 e-tron, adapted for rough-and-tumble performance. A special gear set sends power to each wheel individually, providing perfectly metered torque distribution across all four wheels. And even with this off-road-oriented setup, the SUV boasts a top speed of 175 km/h.
Audi Q6 e-tron Design Details
To match its extreme capabilities, the Audi Q6 e-tron design features a bold, aggressive design courtesy of Audi. The SUV's extended fender flares add to its presence, while body cladding improves durability. For off-road activities, the SUV has a heavy-duty roof rack with integrated LED light bars. The reinforced front bumper has tow hooks, while the large grille area is accompanied by auxiliary fog lamps.
The Audi Q6 e-tron Offroad Concept is a true representation of a futuristic electric car with serious off-road engineering to build high-performance electric SUVs for adventure. For now, it is only a concept; however, innovation may lead towards future production tailored for extreme terrain.
