Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch the world's first-ever CNG-powered bike, the Bajaj Bruzer (tentative), on June 18, 2024. The managing director of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj, confirmed at the launch event of the 2024 Pulsar NS400Z that the upcoming bike will hit the Indian market next month. He said, “The world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle is due next month. It halves the running costs compared to petrol-run bikes. It’s a fantastic innovation.”

The upcoming Bajaj offering is going to be the first-ever CNG motorcycle in the world. This new bike promises to offer less expensive commuting options for riders. Bajaj’s first CNG bike is expected to open doors for more CNG motorcycles in the future. The motorcycle has been spotted on several occasions. It will be like any other commuting motorcycle, featuring telescopic forks, halogen turn indicators, a drum brake setup, and a monoshock unit.

The upcoming CNG-powered bike is expected to come equipped with single-channel ABS or combi-braking. As of now, the two-wheeler giant has not revealed the name of the new CNG model. However, the company recently filed a patent for the Bruzer name, which could also be the nomenclature for Bajaj’s upcoming bike.

Bajaj Auto India recently launched its flagship Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian market. The motorcycle is available at an introductory price of INR 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new bike are currently open for a token amount of INR 5,000. The homegrown manufacturer will begin the delivery process in June.

The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is powered by a liquid-cooled 373-cc engine that generates 39 bhp of maximum power at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque output at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed unit with a slip-and-assist clutch. Bajaj is also offering riding modes, ride-by-wire, traction control, and ABS modes.
