Bajaj Auto, one of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, has launched the Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian market on May 3, 2024. The Pulsar NS400Z is available at a starting price of INR 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The new motorcycle is the company’s biggest Pulsar ever, and it is INR 45,815 more affordable than the standard Dominar 400. Bookings for the NS400Z motorcycle are now open for a token amount of INR 5,000, while deliveries will commence in the first week of June.

In the brand’s portfolio, the NS400Z is placed above the outgoing Pulsar NS200. The Pulsar range has been one of the most famous products in the company’s lineup for over 24 years. Over the course of 20 years, the firm has sold 1.8 crore Pulsar bikes. Bajaj is offering the NS400Z in four color options: Glossy Ebony Black, Cocktail Wine Red, Pewter Grey, and Metallic Pearl White.

The company’s new flagship bike, the Pulsar NS400Z, looks identical to the NS200, but it gets different styling elements that set it apart from the outgoing NS200. The motorcycle houses a bolder headlamp design, golden-colored USD forks, ABS modes, ride-by-wire throttle, and two new LED DRLs, along with a projector headlamp located at the centre. It gets new sportier rear-view mirrors, which look like the ones equipped in the KTM 250 Duke.

Bajaj’s new flagship Pulsar comes loaded with updated features like switchable traction control, all LED lights, and four riding modes: Rain, Sport, Road, and Off-road. Both the throttle response and the ABS intervention levels are changed by these modes. There’s a new digital instrument cluster that features Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation.

Powering the Pulsar NS400Z is the same 373-cc engine that is also equipped in the outgoing Bajaj Dominar 400 and KTM 390 Duke. The engine generates power of 39 bhp and peak torque of 35 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The new flagship motorcycle has a top speed of 154 kmph.

Bajaj Auto India is expected to launch the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z in international markets as well. The Pulsar is available at a competitive price point and is one of the most budget-friendly bikes in its class. In the Indian market, the new NS400Z will rival the likes of the Hero Mavrick 440, Suzuki Gixxer 250, Triumph Speed 400, KTM 250 Duke, Bajaj Dominar 400, and TVS Apache RTR 310.
