Bajaj Auto Limited has started sending its much-awaited entry-level Pulsar 125 to its showrooms in the country. The price for the latest entry level model of the Pulsar series will likely be set at around Rs. 64,000 which is the lowest price for a Pulsar in the Indian market. Although the smallest Pulsar ever looks almost identical to the larger Pulsar 150 in the Indian market the biggest differentiating factor is the engine that the bike comes with a 125 cc unit. With the price point at which the bike is supposed to enter in the Indian market, it will give a tough time to other 125cc bikes in the segment like Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Discover and Hero Glamour. The launch of the least priced Bajaj Pulsar ever will mean that the Pulsar brand will be even more accessible for the youth of the country and hence will help the maker spike the sales of the brand in the Indian market. What will also swing the way of the smallest ever Pulsar is that it will offer the feel of an entry level sporty bike in the price range of the commuter segment without a hit on the fuel efficiency of the bike.

Talking about the mechanical aspect of the latest from Bajaj, the Pulsar 125 comes with a 125cc DTSi engine rated to deliver 11.8 Bhp and 11 Nm. The transmission duties are handled by a 5 speed manual gearbox. Although, the output figure might look adequate on paper, considering that the upcoming Pulsar 125 will be a hefty bike, the power figure for the bike may just prove to be slightly inadequate in real world experience.

With the dispatches underway, the maker will soon launch the bike in the market as well. The dealerships have started accepting the bookings for the bike as well. With the new launch the maker will be looking at boosting the sales of the Pulsar series of bikes in the market. The maker already offers a 150cc bike in the Pulsar range that brings in good number of sales. Now with an even lower displacement offering, the maker is looking at attracting some commuter segment customers who want a more sporty feeling option in the same price range.

The Indian maker is also working on updating its Pulsar range of motorcycles in the Indian market. The upcoming emission norms will see the maker updating the engines of the line-up and if reports are to be believed the company will also go for a generation update for the entire range of the bikes with the change in engine.
