Ducati recently launched the BS6 Panigale V2, which was their first BS6 compliant bike in India. The Plans are afoot to add more BS6 bikes to their portfolio with the manufacturer releasing teaser images of Scrambler on social media handles. The Italian brand is keen to increase its market share in the ever-growing premium motorcycles segment in India. The released teaser image only showcases the headlamps with no information of the bike. One can either expect the Scrambler 800 or the Scrambler 1100 model by the teaser. More chance of Scrambler 1100 range launch is there, considering the Scrambler 800s are yet to get Euro 5 certification in Europe. Ducati Scrambler 1100 price would lie between around 12-13.50 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India ). 

BS6 Ducati Scrambler

Ducati is expected to launch the Scrambler series in the Indian market probably by the end of the month only. In the international market, the Ducati 1100 range comprises of 1100 Pro and 1100 Sport Pro variants. So what’s new about the 1100 scrambler series? A BS6 engine, new paint scheme, revamped seat and an updated twin exhaust system. Both variants will draw power from a 1079cc L-Twin Desmodromic petrol engine. The engine belts out an impressive 85bhp of power at 7500rpm and 88Nm of peak torque at 4750rpm. The transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual unit. 

BS6 Ducati Scrambler Teased Ahead of Launch

There are three riding modes available with the 1100 scrambler: Journey, City and Active. For a more comfortable journey on tough terrains, you have the cornering ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and four-stage traction control. BS6 Ducati Scrambler 1100 competitors are Triumph Scrambler 1200 and BMW R nineT in the Indian market.

Ducati isn’t stopping here, there are further rumoured BS6 motorcycles launches in the offing. A new BS6 Multistrada is expected to arrive in India. Of the various variants sold in the international markets, Ducati could launch the Multistrada 950 before the end of the year.
