Hyundai has today unveiled its flagship SUV, the Tucson facelift in India. The premium SUV is on display at the Auto Expo 2020 in Hall Number 3. Competing with the likes of Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan and Honda CR-V, this Hyundai SUV will be launched next month in the Indian market.
The Korean auto manufacturer has given a refreshed exterior along with an updated interior to the Tucson facelift. The design tweaks on the exterior give the Tucson facelift a similar look as its siblings. In terms of a cosmetic update, the Tucson facelift offers a new signature cascading grille, sharper headlights, L-shaped LED DRLs, new fog housing and a chiseled front bumper. Its rear end features a new rear bumper, tweaked taillamps with LED inserts and new reflectors on the tailgate. This five-seater SUV is all set to ride on newly designed alloy wheels and comes with an electronic parking brake.
Inside the cabin, it is offering a host of new features including a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the air-vent stacked below the unit, Blue Link connectivity, 360-degree camera, climate control with rear AC and a panoramic sunroof. It is also offering a second-row USB charging in addition to wireless charging. This new SUV comes with advanced safety features including forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Mechanically, the Tucson facelift is powered by a BS6 compliant 2.0L petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine produces 152bhp of max power and 192 Nm peak torque while the turbo-diesel pumps out 182bhp of maximum power output with 400 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are available with a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic gearbox options along with the optional all-wheel drive system.
