In a bid to offer more options and attract more buyers, BYD (Build Your Dreams) has announced exciting benefits up to 2 lakh on its flagship Seal electric sedan for this festive season. The Chinese electric vehicle maker is providing benefits in the form of free service packages and substantial cash discounts on the Seal trims. BYD India offers the Seal electric sedan in three variants: Premium, Dynamic, and Performance. The EV is available at an ex-showroom price of INR 41 lakh.

BYD Seal EV Discounts

The top-spec BYD Seal Performance variant receives the maximum cash discount of INR 2 lakh with a free three-year maintenance and service package worth INR 50,000. This brings the total benefit to a substantial INR 2.5 lakh, which makes it an attractive option for EV enthusiasts looking for a high-performance car.

On the contrary, the Seal Premium trim is being offered with complete benefits of INR 1 lakh that incorporate a three-year maintenance and service package of INR 50,000. BYD is not offering any specific festive discounts on the Seal Dynamic variant. However, its competitive price range still makes it an appealing choice for buyers who are looking for an affordable electric vehicle.

BYD Seal EV Features

The BYD Seal electric sedan lineup comes equipped with a range of standard amenities such as nine airbags, advanced driver assistance systems, traction control, powered front seats followed by heating and ventilation, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, dual-zone auto climate control, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen.

BYD Seal EV Powertrain

The BYD Seal Performance trim comes equipped with an all-wheel drivetrain and a twin-motor setup that is tuned to churn out power of 523 bhp and torque of 670 Nm. The all-wheel drive train enables the electric sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. The Seal Performance trim is packed with a bigger 82.56 kWh battery set that offers an NEDC-certified range of up to 580 km.

Unlike the Seal Performance variant, the Premium version is packed with a single motor that churns out a peak power of 308 bhp and torque of 360 Nm. The Performance variant boasts a significantly greater range of up to 680 kilometers (NEDC), and it uses the same 82.56 kWh battery. On the other hand, the base Dynamic variant of BYD Seal is loaded with an electric motor that generates power of 201 bhp and torque of 310 Nm. It houses a 61.44 kWh battery pack that provides 510 km of maximum range.
