The electric luxury car manufacturer BYD India has started receiving bookings for the eMAX 7 electric MPV. Bookings for the new eMAX 7 have been opened for a token amount of INR 51,000. Customers can reserve the new MPV online or through any authorized BYD dealerships across India. According to BYD, the eMAX 7 has been specifically designed for big families who look for multi-seater vehicles.

BYD set foot in the Indian passenger vehicle segment with the e6 electric vehicle. Now, to celebrate the success of its first MPV in the country, the brand is providing enticing discounts on the booking of the eMax 7. BYD has also announced it will offer free chargers to the first 1,000 eMax 7 customers.

The first customers will receive benefits like complimentary 3 kW and 7 kW chargers at the time of delivery. In addition, the company will also offer extra benefits of up to INR 51,000. However, the deal is only valid for reservations made by October 8, 2024, and for recipients who will receive the MPV on or before March 25, 2025.

The new BYD eMAX 7 is packed with Blade battery technology. It is an updated version of the standard BYD e6. It made its global debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) as the BYD M6 in July 2024. Compared to the Indo-spec version, the BYD eMAX 7 is expected to come equipped with more technology and features. The eMAX 7 MPV is going to receive refreshed LED DRLs, LED headlamps, modified bumpers, revamped LED tail lamps, and new alloy wheels.

Inside, the upcoming BYD MPV will receive major feature enhancements in the form of a 12.8-inch circular touchscreen infotainment system, a new centre console, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Globally, the BYD MPV is being offered with two battery sets: a bigger 71.8 kWh battery and a 55.4 kWh battery.

The Head EPV Business of BYD India, Rajeev Chauhan, said, “The BYD eMAX 7 is more than an electric MPV – It is a statement of style, performance, and environmental stewardship. We believe the BYD eMAX 7 will redefine the electric vehicle experience in India, setting new standards in the industry.”
