Citroen has released a teaser video to notify about the upcoming launch of C3, Basalt, and Aircross Dark Editions. These dark variants are only visually updated with the same powertrain options.

Citroen has just announced that it is going to launch the dark editions of Citroen C3, Basalt, and Aircross soon. The brand updated the public through a teaser on its social media handles.

Like other dark editions released this year, these variants also get aesthetic updates only. The French carmaker is trying to capture the mid-size SUV market in India with these feature-loaded SUVs.

Other Indian and foreign carmakers that have already jumped on the dark editions trend are Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon, Honda Elevate Dark Edition, Nexon EV Dark Editions, and Tata Curvv Dark Edition.

Citroen C3, Basalt, and Aircross dark editions updates

The all-new Citroen dark editions are going to follow a similar black theme to other dark editions in the market. The exterior is going to be all black with dual-tone alloy wheels as shown in the teaser.

The interior of these variants also features dark upholstery with contrasting stitches. Other elements in the car are also getting the black design. 

For instance, the AC buttons are surrounded by the black chrome finished borders, the dashboard, badges, and the grille also get the dark treatment.

Citroen C3, Basalt, and Aircross dark editions features and specifications

The car is expected to get the design updates only, without any features or specifications updates. All three models share the same platform.

These cars will have the same engine and specifications. The cars come in two options of 82 hp, 1.2-litre or 110 hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engines.

The Citroen Basalt has a unique coupe-like roofline which blends SUV practicality with the sporty styling. The newer design coupe SUV is new to the Indian market and made to appeal to people who want to grab eyeballs on the road.
