The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has launched its most advanced off-road motorcycle, the DesertX Rally, in the Indian market. The company initially unveiled this new bike for the global market. In India, the 2024 DesertX Rally is available at a price of INR 23,70,800 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the bike are currently open in India, while deliveries will commence in May.

The DesertX Rally is a more robust version of the Ducati DesertX, which comes at a price of INR 18.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Continuing the legacy of the brand’s lineage, this new motorcycle comes equipped with premium components that have been painstakingly designed for both efficiency and style.

Ducati is offering the Rally version with six unique riding modes: Touring, Sport, Urban, Enduro, Wet, and Rally. The new motorcycle gets an elongated beak and a twin-circular LED headlamp at the front, which enhances its overall look. The new model shares some components with the standard model, but additionally, it gets various hardware modifications and aesthetic improvements. Specifically designed for off-road performance, the bike rolls on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch back wheel.

The motorcycle has also been tested on several racetracks, and last year it managed to tackle the challenging Erzberg Rodeo. In terms of safety features, the Ducati DesertX Rally comes loaded with features like cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). The motorcycle features a 5-inch color TFT screen along with the Ducati Multimedia System, which allows smartphone connectivity to handle calls, control music, and optional turn-by-turn navigation.

The DesertX Rally features a rear monoshock with 240 mm of travel and a front KYB upside-down fork with 250 mm of travel. In addition, Ohlins steering dampers are also attached to the handlebar. Powering the new motorcycle is a 937-cc, L-twin, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 108 hp of power and a peak torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
