In terms of aerodynamics, the Ferrari 296 Challenge race car is modeled after the 296 GT3. The Ferrari 296 comes with a swan-neck rear wing configuration, and the downforce will go through the S-Duct. Brembo's CCM-R Plus discs, which are deduced from track applications, are used to overhaul the braking system. The new Pirelli tyres are specifically designed for the Ferrari 296 Challenge race car. The Ferrari 296 Challenge can lap the Mugello circuit in just two seconds as it has an updated system and magnified performance, while its predecessor, the 488 Challenge Evo, is slower than the new Ferrari.
When the spoiler is fixed at its maximum angle of attack, the 2024 Ferrari 296 Challenge race car can produce 870 kg of downforce at a speed of 250 kmph. In comparison to the 488 Challenge Evo, the 296 Challenge marks an 18% rise in downforce because of its top speed. Over the rear axle, the downforce is produced by the fixed spoiler, and the angle can also be rearranged to seven different positions.
The 2024 Ferrari 296 Challenge race car comes with a front-end specially designed to increase air intake for engine cooling. The vent on the front bonnet of the car puffs out the hot air. The new Ferrari is equipped with combined features from the GT racing and single-make series. It retains the steering wheel of the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo. The central tunnel layout in the Ferrari optimizes control access, and the engine rev LED bar is now situated in the digital instrument display.
The Ferrari 296 Challenge race car will set its foot in the 2024 season in the Japan and UK series. The 296 Challenge will be inaugurated in the 2024 season by participating in the North America and Europe series of the Ferrari Challenge.
