Fiat has introduced the Fiat Titano, their newest truck offering. While this midsize truck is an improved Peugeot Landtrek, its roots are in the Changan Kaicene F70, a Chinese pickup that Changan Automobile and PSA developed.
This car is positioned to go up against the Ford Ranger. It is available on several continents in configurations that suit local tastes. The Fiat Titano has a 1.9-liter diesel engine with a six-speed manual gearbox that produces 150 horsepower and 350 Newton-meters of torque in Algeria, where orders have started. A 1,210 kg payload capacity is made possible by this power.

Conversely, Brazil is expecting a more powerful version with a 2.2-liter diesel engine that produces 200 horsepower and 450 Newton-meters of torque. Different configurations are available to meet the needs of the market, ranging from just one cabs with 4x2 setups to dual cabs with 4x4 capabilities and room for up to five people.
It's interesting to note that production methods differ by location. According to information from Motor1 Brazil, Algeria offers both single and double cabs, but Brazil will only focus on the four-door configuration in order to maximize production at the Nordex factory in Uruguay.
It seems unlikely that the Titano will make an appearance in the Indian market, even with its widespread appeal.
With a length of 5.39 meters when configured as a double-cab, the Titano provides plenty of room while still remaining a sturdy vehicle. To accommodate a wide range of consumer preferences, trim options are available in both utilitarian versions with black bumpers and steel wheels and more upscale models with alloy wheels and a touchscreen.
Although Fiat's initial focus was mainly on Algeria and Brazil, it hasn't ruled out future market expansions.
