The leading two-wheeler maker Harley-Davidson is offering a discount of up to INR 15,000 on its popular motorcycle, the Harley-Davidson X440, for a limited period. The X440 Vivid variant now comes at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.45 lakh. The two-wheeler manufacturer announced that the new discount offer on the mid-spec variant is only valid until August 15, 2024. Notably, the made-in-India X440 is the most affordable motorcycle in the brand’s lineup, and by reducing its price, the company has made it easier for customers to purchase this model.
Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have teamed up to manufacture the X440 in India. The X440 Vivid variant is being offered in the Metallic Dark Silver and Metallic Thick Red color schemes. It comes equipped with a 3.5-inch digital instrument console. The bike misses out on features like diamond-cut alloy wheels and an eSIM that features vehicle tracking, geofencing, remote immobilization, and more.

Powering the Harley-Davidson X440 is a 440-cc, air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. The unit generates a power of 27 bhp and a peak torque of 38 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch rear and 18-inch front alloy wheels. Suspension duties are done by KYB USD forks up front and a twin shock absorber. For braking duties, the bike gets disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS.
On the design front, the motorcycle takes inspiration from the Harley XR1200 roadster and features the same 440-cc motor but a different subframe. It is loaded with features like an offset console, round headlamp, extended tail section, boxy fuel tank, and robust grab rails. The motorcycle has a neo-retro design that is further enhanced by modern features like a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, full LED lighting, a side-stand engine, and a USB charging port.
In the Indian market, the Harley-Davidson X440 rivals the likes of the Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’ness CB350, and the recently launched Guerrilla 450 motorcycle, which is priced at INR 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
