Honda has been preparing to introduce a new e-scooter in the country for the past few years. The new Honda electric scooter is speculated to be named the Activa. The CEO of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Tsutsumu Otani, has now officially disclosed that the Honda electric scooter will be launched in India in March 2025.

Honda has already installed an electric two-wheeler production line at its factory in Karnataka. The company plans to begin manufacturing the next e-scooter in December 2024. The name of Honda's next scooter is still a mystery. That being said, the Honda Activa is anticipated to be the name of the next e-scooter.

The Honda Activa electric scooter is likely to come equipped with a touchscreen infotainment unit, keyless go, connected features, and more. As of now, the two-wheeler giant has not revealed any details regarding the powertrain. The Vida V1 duo is the only scooter to feature removable batteries, while other famous Indian electric scooters house a fixed battery set. The brand already has several battery-swapping stations that are operational in a few metro cities.

Last year, Honda revealed at a press conference that it was gearing up to launch two electric scooters in the Indian market, one available with swappable batteries and the other with a fixed battery set. The brand is expected to launch at least one of these models in India this year.
