Honda, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has patented its first high-capacity scooter, the Stylo 160. The auto marque recently patented the CBR500R and the CB500 Hornet in India. The high-capacity scooter is sold as the Honda Stylo in Indonesia, and it has received big upgrades compared to the other scooters in Honda’s lineup. The scooter marks the brand’s entry into the premium scooter segment in the domestic market.
The Stylo 160 was launched in Indonesia earlier this year. The scooter has a unique design, and it caters to riders of all age groups. This premium scooter is slightly bigger than the brand’s popular Activa model. The Honda Stylo 160 has a swooping and curvy design language. The scooter is packed with a host of features, such as full LED lighting, a keyless start system, a digital console, and a USB charger. It comes equipped with an oval-shaped headlamp, a sturdy grab rail, and a large single-piece seat.

The Honda Stylo 160 scooter rolls on 12-inch alloy wheels and features dual-channel ABS for better safety. The high-capacity scooter has a kerb weight of 118kg. It is powered by a 156.9-cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that generates power of 16 bhp and 15 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a CVT system.
Honda is expected to launch the Stylo 160 in the Indian market soon, and the pricing details will also be revealed later. However, the scooter is likely to come at a price of INR 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). If launched, the upcoming scooter could rival the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the forthcoming Hero Xoom 160.
