The South Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor is planning to launch the Alcazar Facelift in India. The updated Creta Facelift was unveiled in the country earlier this year and gained a positive customer response. After the success of the Creta, Hyundai India is gearing up to unveil the facelifted version of the three-row Alcazar SUV before this festive season. The Alcazar Facelift has been recently spotted testing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Spy images of the test mule have been circulating on social media, partially revealing the features of the SUV.
The latest spy shots reveal that the Hyundai Alcazar will feature a black exterior color scheme. The side profile of the Alcazar Facelift is partially revealed in the camouflaged test mule. In terms of design, the SUV will share similar character lines with the existing version. The car is expected to feature newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the
Hyundai Alcazar SUV is expected to come equipped with a new grille with reworked bumpers, new LED lights at the back, redesigned headlights and DRLs, and connected taillights, among others. The Alcazar’s interior is likely to feature the same elements as the new Hyundai Creta, which was launched in the country this year. These features include a dual-screen setup, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a dual-pane sunroof, and level 2 ADAS technology, among others.
Under the hood, Hyundai is not expected to make any variations on the new Alcazar. The upcoming SUV is likely to draw power from three 1.5-litre engines, including a naturally aspirated petrol unit, a diesel option, and a turbocharged version. The transmission options are also likely to stay the same with a six-speed torque converter AT, a six-speed manual, and a seven-speed dual-clutch AT gearbox.
The outgoing Hyundai Alcazar comes at a starting price of INR 16.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to INR 21.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Alcazar is expected to be priced higher than the current model. In its segment, the new model will rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV 700.
