Hyundai Motor India Limited launched the ‘Hyundai Bluelink Championship’ in the country today. This first-of-its-kind initiative basically aims to encourage the customers to inculcate the best driving practices using its connected technology - Bluelink.

It is a month-long program and it will be launched on January 4, 2022. However, the registration for the same begins from today onwards. All the customers whose cars are equipped with Blue Link technology are eligible to participate and compete with others on the basis of their driving behavior. On the basis of parameters such as over-speeding, distance traveled, smooth driving, and sudden braking & acceleration, all Blue Link champions will be judged. After this, the data will be analyzed through the Blue Link system mapping and the driving score of individual drivers from 0 to 100 points. The winners will be selected region-wise on the basis of their scores and ranking. Furthermore, the top 3 winners from each region will get attractive gift vouchers. While the rest of the participants will be awarded e-trophies.

“Keeping Hyundai’s vision for future mobility at the heart, HMIL is always committed to creating a brighter and better tomorrow for Humanity. At Hyundai, we are developing technologies - that are intelligent, advanced, and future-ready. Hyundai debuted the concept of connected technology in the Indian automotive industry in 2019 with the VENUE. Since then, Bluelink Technology has become the safest and smartest way for an individual to stay connected ‘on the go’. We will continue to adopt more and more digital initiatives with these innovative and engaging campaigns to lead the industry with thoughtful innovations for enhanced customer delight. We hope to add our Bluelink customers as active ambassadors of road safety in India,” as commented by S S Kim, MD & CEO, HMIL.

Through this championship, Hyundai aims to create awareness for its customers and help them improve their driving style. In other words, the company wants all car owners to understand the importance of their driving behavior and the usage of Blue Link-connected technology. It is not mandatory for all the customers to participate in the championship. Only those customers who register for the Blue Link Championship will be considered.
