Hyundai Motor India has recently teased the Knight Edition of the Exter SUV on its social media handle. The automaker is gearing up to launch the first-ever special edition of the Exter in India. The SUV will soon be available in a completely blacked-out version called the ‘Knight Edition’. After the pre-facelifted Venue and Creta, the Hyundai Exter is going to be the third model to receive the 'Knight Edition' variant.
The Hyundai Exter was first rolled out on the Indian market in 2023. It has managed to grab the attention of several potential Indian buyers in a short time. The Exter is also Hyundai’s most affordable vehicle in the country, and it directly competes with the Tata Punch. Hyundai offers the Exter in five monotone and three twin-tone color schemes. These include Cosmic Blue, Ranger Khaki, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Titan Grey, and Atlas White monotone. The dual-tone color options available in the SUV are Cosmic, Khaki, and Atlas White colors with a black roof.

The teaser showcases the Exter, featuring a red stripe on the tailgate. The Creta Knight Edition is finished in a black color scheme, and the upcoming Exter model is also expected to come in a similar shade. The black treatment is likely to be carried over to the grille, ORVMs, roof rails, alloy wheels, pillars, and the logos and lettering on the tailgate. There will be a Knight Edition badge on the rear of the car, just like its sibling. It is anticipated that the brake calipers will now be colored red. Additionally, the new Exter’s cabin will also feature a blacked-out theme with red accents on the dashboard.
Hyundai is not expected to make any mechanical changes to the Knight Edition. The upcoming Hyundai Exter will draw power from the same 1.2-litre NA petrol motor that churns out power of 81 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. The motor is paired with a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. Notably, the Exter is also being offered with a CNG-equipped variant.
