The automaker has not made any mechanical changes to the premium mid-size SUV. The Compass range retains the same features and engine. Under the hood, the Jeep Compass draws power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that churns out power of 178 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed AT transmission. The base Compass Sport variant comes equipped with only the manual gearbox.
Jeep India discontinued the Compass petrol version in the Indian market last year, making the SUV a diesel-powered model only. In terms of design language, the SUV features the same design as its older siblings. The Compass features a 10.25-inch digital instrument console followed by a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which houses connected car features, Android Auto compatibility, and Apple CarPlay.
The Compass mid-size SUV comes equipped with a range of features, including an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and more. In terms of safety features, the car houses six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill Start Assist, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, and more.
