Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrated festivals across India. Maharashtra, especially, awaits the festival with bated breath as the state and predominantly its capital city of Mumbai becomes the home of Lord Ganesha for 10 days. Streets, roads and homes are decorated while the devouts throng the temples to seek the Lord’s blessings. This year was a dampener with COVID-19 outbreak forcing the authorities to restrict the celebrations. The festival was destined to become a low-key event until American automobile giant Jeep stepped in. Winning the hearts of the devotees, Jeep India created Lord Ganesha Idol with 122 Jeep Compass SUV.
Jeep India celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at their production plant in Ranjangaon near Pune in their own stylish way. The automaker celebrated the festival in a grand style with the 122 units of the Compass SUV arranged in a way to resemble the Lord Ganesha idol. The whole process involved 8 professional drivers while 50 plus hours were spent orchestrating the program. Nearly 122 units of Compass SUV were arranged in a wide space of 29,970 sq.ft. If you look at the end result, the Lord Ganesha idol was 162 feet long and 185 feet wide. The Ganpati idol looks stunning and inch-perfect in terms of colour and size proportions, to say the least.
With COVID-19 omnipresent in our lives, the automaker followed the health guidelines and social distancing rules in the celebration. Jeep India shared the stunning video on micro-blogging site Twitter while making sure the festival celebration was conducted in a safe manner. Once the Ganpati Idol was created, the production unit’s staff undertook a puja. With this gesture, the company is making a place in the hearts of the Indian buyers. Jeep Compass is becoming a popular model in the Indian market positioning itself in the premium SUV segment.
With the festive season beginning, Jeep India is offering discounts up to Rs 1.80 lakhs on selected variants of the Compass SUV. Indian buyers can avail benefits up to Rs 2 Lakhs. The benefits also include a discount of Rs 98,400. The benefits don’t stop here as the automaker is also giving a huge Rs 1,79,820 discount on the Longitude Plus 4×2 variant.
