The leading car manufacturer Kia India has updated its popular Seltos lineup by introducing the Seltos X-Line variant in a new black color shade. The new-generation Kia Seltos was first launched in the Indian market in 2023. It is being offered in three different variants: Tech Line, X-Line, and GT Line. The all-new Aurora Black Pearl color scheme further enhances the car’s interior and exterior appearance.

The updated Seltos X-Line features a range of glossy black finished elements, including rear skid plates at both ends, a shark-fin antenna, rear-view mirrors, a faux exhaust on the bumper, and a tailgate garnish. There are orange accents on the side door garnish, skid plates, and wheel center caps. The addition of enticing orange accents further enhances these design elements.

Apart from the new Aurora Black Pearl color, the brand offers the Seltos X-Line in the Matte Graphite shade. Inside, the cabin of the X-Line variants has a different color treatment in the form of splendid Sage Green and Black. The Kia Seltos X-Line rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels, and it also features an X-Line badge. The Kia Seltos X-Line is powered by two engines: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, which is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch AT transmission unit, and a 1.5-litre diesel paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, Joonsu Cho, stated in a press release: “The X-Line trim has struck a chord with our modern buyers, who look for distinctive and exclusive products in their purchasing decisions. In response to their demand and feedback, we are happy to introduce a new black color option in the X-Line trim."

The Seltos was first rolled out in 2019 as the brand’s first-ever car in India. Since then, Seltos has managed to attract several customers with its outstanding feature range and robust powertrain options. The automaker has retailed more than five lakh Seltos units in India so far. In its segment, the Kia Seltos rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Hector, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
