India’s largest SUV manufacturer, Mahindra, has announced that it is offering special Diwali discounts of up to INR 1.6 lakh on the 3-door Thar. This festive offer has been in effect since September, prior to Mahindra initiating Thar Roxx test drives. However, the discount price has now been increased to INR 1.6 lakh. Along with dealer-level discounts, customers will also receive a complimentary accessory kit worth INR 25,000.
Mahindra India offers the Thar adventure SUV at a starting price of INR 11.35 lakh (ex-showroom), and it goes up to INR 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. The smaller sibling of the Thar Roxx is famous for its off-road capabilities. The new-generation Thar SUV comes in two variants: LX (Lifestyle Series) and AX (Adventure Series).
Mahindra Thar's Legacy
Mahindra launched the first-generation Thar in the Indian market in 2010, while the second-generation SUV was unveiled almost a decade later. Till now, the popular off-road SUV has attracted several potential customers in India. As a result, the five-door Thar Roxx was recently introduced in the market, and in just one hour, 1.76 lakh reservations were made. Though demand for SUVs is higher than it has ever been, the Thar lineup stands out due to persistently high customer demand.
Mahindra Thar 3-Door Discounts
The Mahindra Thar Earth Edition receives the biggest discount of INR 1.6 lakh, while other smaller variants such as the LX Diesel MT 2WD with Hardtop and LX Petrol AT 2WD are now being offered with benefits worth INR 1.25 lakh. In addition, the Mahindra Thar AX and LX trims are available with benefits of up to INR 1.3 lakh.
