The leading automaker Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to roll out the Thar Roxx 5-door SUV in India on August 15, 2024. The company is expected to launch the 5-door variant with more advanced features compared to the 3-door Thar version, which is one of the best offerings in the brand’s lineup. The automaker is likely to start the booking process on August 15. As of now, the pricing details have not been revealed.
The upcoming Thar Roxx 5-door is likely to be priced higher than the Mahindra 3-door Thar SUV. According to media reports, the new SUV is likely to come equipped with three engine options: a 2.0-liter petrol, a 1.5-liter diesel RWD version, and a 2.2-liter diesel. These engine options are likely to come with both automatic and manual transmissions. The Mahindra Thar Roxx is anticipated to feature a new chassis to suit its increased wheelbase and length. This will probably incorporate changing the wheel sizes and suspension system.

Mahindra is likely to launch the Thar Roxx 5-door SUV with the same off-road capabilities as its 3-door variant. The upcoming Thar Roxx will get several advanced features like twin-zone climate control, rear AC vents, a bigger touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, and a sunroof. The Thar Roxx 5-door is also expected to come equipped with safety features like a 360-degree camera and ADAS features. It will get front design elements like a new grille, C-shaped DRLs, circular fog lights, fender-mounted ORVMs, and LED projector lights.
Additionally, the SUV will receive dual-tone alloy wheels, a front camera, body-colored rear door handles placed on the C-pillar, black-colored front door handles, faux skid plates, and square LED taillights. After its official launch in the Indian market, the Thar Roxx 5-door SUV will compete with the Force Gurkha 5-door.
