The leading automotive manufacturer Suzuki Motor has showcased the eVX Concept at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS 2024) in Jakarta. The brand is all set to launch the new electric model in the Indian market sometime in 2025. The Maruti eVX will be the first-ever all-electric model from the company. Suzuki Motor is likely to assemble the eVX in the first half of 2025. In the Indian electric compact SUV segment, the eVX will compete with a range of upcoming EVs like the Honda Elevate EV, the Tata Curvv EV, the Hyundai Creta EV, and more.

The auto giant first showcased the eVX in Concept form at the Auto Expo 2023, which was held in Greater Noida. Notably, the new electric concept model has only been unveiled in three countries in Asia so far. These include Japan, India, and now Indonesia. The concept showcased at the Indonesia Auto Show is an updated version featuring a range of advanced features. Suzuki announced that the Maruti eVX will come equipped with the brand’s all-wheel drive technology, which will help it become an off-roader model.

The President and Director of Suzuki Motor Indonesia, Minoru Amano, stated that Suzuki has been planning to unveil environmentally friendly cars for a long time; one such model is the Suzuki eVX. Suzuki Motor Indonesia said that the eVX concept will feature the latest All-Grip technology, which is also equipped in the Maruti Jimny and Grand Vitara SUVs. The upcoming EV will provide a certified range of up to 500 km on a single charge. But the size of the battery has not been revealed yet. The battery size is expected to be somewhere around 60 kWh.

The Maruti Suzuki eVX will come equipped with an LED light bar, LED headlight and DRL units, a high-mounted stop lamp, a rear spoiler, and a shark-fin antenna. Inside the cabin, the eVX SUV is likely to come with advanced features, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, front-ventilated seats, and more.
