Maruti Suzuki, India's largest car manufacturer, is again in the limelight for achieving a significant milestone of manufacturing 1 crore units at its Manesar facility, Haryana. Recently, the company rolled out its one croreth (10 millionth) car, the Brezza subcompact SUV, from its Maruti Manesar facility. As a result, the Manesar plant surpassed all other Suzuki vehicle manufacturing facilities in terms of speed, attaining the one crore production milestone in 18 years.

The Manesar facility was established in Haryana in October 2006. It is spread across 600 acres and has a manufacturing capacity of around nine lakh cars per year. The Manesar facility is the company’s largest manufacturing unit in the country. Additionally, the company’s first passenger car, the Baleno, which has also been exported to Japan, was also rolled out at this facility.
