Maruti Suzuki is really taking its affordable car Alto quite seriously due to the fact that the Alto is one of the top-selling cars for the homegrown manufacturer. The company brought a new BSVI variant of the Alto along with tweaked design earlier this year. Also, a factory-fitted CNG variant of the Alto was introduced in June this year.
And this time, Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new variant VXi+ that tops the range. The variant is priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 3.80 Lacs which makes it Rs.13 K costlier than the VXi variant.
The premium price fetches the car a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and it also gets Bluetooth connectivity which is first in the Alto’s history.
Some of the other features that the car is equipped with are dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, front seatbelt reminder, manual AC, power steering, and front power windows.
This Alto is powered by a BS6-compliant 48hp, 800cc, three-cylinder petrol engine which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. There is also an option to opt for the CNG-equipped LXi trims which give out 41bhp of power when running on the cleaner fuel.
