Maruti Suzuki, one of India’s biggest car manufacturers, has recently announced that it has retailed more than two lakh units of the Maruti Fronx in India in just 17.3 months. This has been accomplished within less than eight months after the carmaker acquired the 1 lakh sales mark in January 2024. According to the brand, the Fronx is currently the fastest car in the country to hit these numbers in such a short span of time, with another 1 lakh attained in the same fiscal year.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has achieved the highest sales numbers in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, with NCR, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Bengaluru identified as key markets where this model has attained success. The carmaker rolled out the Fronx sports utility vehicle in India in April 2023 and has noted that the Turbo version garners a lot of attention from buyers. The Fronx Turbo variant draws power from a 1.0-litre, petrol version, which develops 98.6 bhp and has 147.6 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission unit or a six-speed torque converter automatic.

This engine contributes 88 bhp and 113 Nm of torque, and when the vehicle runs on compressed natural gas, the output is 78 bhp and 98.5 Nm. Limited edition cars have also been rolled out in the course of the period to potentially contribute to this sales achievement of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
