Maruti Suzuki launched the NEXA premium retail network in 2015 to cater to the demands of Indian buyers. In 5 years of its existence, the company has announced that it has sold over 13 lakh cars across the country. This is a remarkable illustration of the automaker’s continued dominance in the domestic market. Currently, Maruti Suzuki NEXA outlets sell the S-Cross, Baleno, Ciaz and XL6 models while other Maruti products are sold through the Arena platform. The premium NEXA network was set-up in 2015 to offer a premium automotive retail experience to Indian customers.

Maruti Suzuki established NEXA outlets in 2015 with the vision of offering a premium buying and service experience to Indian customers. The creation of NEXA was born out of a survey done by the homegrown automaker. The survey gave insight that many of the urban buyers like personal care and attention to detail when buying a car.

Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited spoke on the milestone achieved by NEXA retail outlet. He said “ “Matching the uniqueness and exclusivity of NEXA, the products sold at NEXA showrooms are carefully designed keeping in mind the global experience of NEXA customers. Be it country’s fastest-selling premium hatchback Maruti Baleno, tough new IGNIS, the Refined SUV S-Cross, premium sedan Ciaz and premium MPV XL6, all NEXA products cater to the unique needs of NEXA customers. We would like to thank our loyal customers for their unflinching support towards the brand, while we continue to innovate and provide premium car buyers with unique experiences.”

NEXA outlets contribution to total Maruti Suzuki sales grew from just 5 percent in 2015 to 19 percent during 2020-21. The biggest reason behind the jump in numbers were the launches of Maruti S-Cross and Ignis Facelift last year.  The S-Cross was launched with a 1.0-litre K series BS6 petrol engine. The buyers were given the option of an automatic transmission which boosted the sales of S-Cross. The sales of S-Cross petrol witnessed a 104 percent growth in Q2 and Q3 of 2020-21. On the other hand, over 1.4 lakh units of Maruti Ignis have been sold since its introduction in January 2017. Maruti Suzuki launched Ignis Facelift in Q1 of 2020 which registered a sales figure of over 27,000 units till December 2020.
