In this festive season, several automotive manufacturers have unveiled new festive editions in the Indian market. Now, Maruti Suzuki, one of India’s leading car manufacturers, has introduced the Swift Blitz edition in India after launching the accessorized versions of the Grand Vitara Dominion and Baleno Regal editions in the market. The brand has come up with a special Blitz edition of the new-generation Swift hatchback, which is retailed via Maruti’s Arena outlets.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift Blitz edition is being offered with complimentary accessories worth up to INR 49,848. Maruti is providing the Swift Blitz edition in three trims: LXi, VXi (O), and VXi, across CNG and petrol powertrain options. In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is available at a starting price of INR 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), and it goes up to INR 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec version.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Blitz Edition Features

The Swift Blitz Edition comes equipped with a range of accessories, including a roof spoiler, illuminated scuff plates, side moulding, bumper lip spoilers, LED fog lamps, floor mats, seat covers, door visors, grille garnish, and a window frame kit. It is packed with features like ISOFIX mounts, a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminders, automatic climate control, and parking sensors.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Blitz Edition Powertrain

Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Blitz draws power from a new Z-series 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. The unit churns out 80 bhp of power at 5,700 rpm and torque of 112 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The brand also offers the Swift hatchback with a CNG powertrain at a price tag of INR 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The CNG unit churns out power of 69 bhp and torque of 101.8 Nm. It is paired with a five-speed AT or a five-speed manual transmission.

The new edition of the Maruti Suzuki Swift provides impressive mileage figures. The petrol manual version provides 24.8 km/l, and the automatic transmission offers 25.75 km/l. At the same time, the CNG version gives 32.85 km/kg, which is 6 percent better than the previous model of the hatchback.

This hatchback has been on the market since 2005. It is famous for its muscular-looking appearance, good fuel economy figures, and better performance. The Swift Blitz edition has been revised several times, incorporating changes corresponding to trends in automotive design and details and improved driving characteristics. The Swift competes with the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Nissan Magnite, Renault Triber, Citroen C3, Tata Punch, and more.
