Maruti Suzuki, India’s biggest car manufacturer, recently launched the Swift CNG version in the Indian market at a starting price of INR 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the CNG-powered Swift has started arriving at Maruti dealerships across India. So, it can be expected that deliveries for the all-new Swift CNG will also start soon. When it comes to CNG-powered vehicles, the homegrown auto giant currently holds the leading position in the market. 

Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG Features

The CNG-powered Swift comes equipped with LED fog lights, LED projector headlamps, LED tail lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, OTA updates, a nine-inch touchscreen system, and rear AC vents. Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG is loaded with features like a 7-inch Smart Play Pro infotainment system, automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, 60:40 split rear seats, a Suzuki Connect suite, six airbags, electronic stability program+ (ESP), and hill hold assist.

Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG Engine

Under the hood, the CNG version of the Swift draws power from a Z12E, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder NA petrol engine that churns out power output of 68.79 bhp at 5,700 rpm and peak torque of 101.8 Nm at 2,900 rpm. The unit is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. In comparison to the previous-gen Swift, the new Swift CNG hatchback offers better fuel efficiency of 32.85 km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce the new-gen Dzire in India in November. The new-gen Dzire is the compact-sedan version of the Swift hatchback. It will be offered with a range of advanced features, including a 360-degree surround camera and an electric sunroof.
