The luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has rolled out the updated AMG G 63 in the Indian market. The latest iteration of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 is available at an ex-showroom price of INR 3.60 crore. Prior to this, Mercedes-Benz also launched the G-Class AMG G 63 Grand Edition in the domestic market at a price tag of INR 4.0 crore (ex-showroom).
The German marque has already received bookings for more than 120 units from the initial batch. Bookings for the new model have been reopened for the second batch while deliveries are expected to begin in 2025. The AMG G 63 boxy-style SUV is praised for its outstanding performance, unmistakable presence, and rugged looks.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 Exterior
On the design front, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 sports the traditional G-Class silhouette. It features a revamped bumper along with three vertical slats, stainless-steel inserts, keyless entry, rounded A-pillars, and a new AMG logo on the hood. The AMG G 63 SUV rolls on 22-inch alloy wheels. It features an extra carbon-finished spare wheel cover. Mercedes has not altered the off-road capability of this car, and it still has a water-wading capacity of 700 mm and ground clearance of 229 mm.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Interior
Inside, this new G-Class model receives several major upgrades, including the MBUX infotainment system, two 12.3-inch screens for the instrumentation and driver’s display, a three-spoke AMG performance steering wheel, and an 18-speaker 760-watt Burmester. There’s an off-road control centre located right in the middle of the car’s dashboard that provides easier access to key functions. The 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 also comes equipped with temperature-controlled cup holders, 29 MANUFAKTUR paint options as standard, and 31 unique MANUFAKTUR upholstery.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 Powertrain
Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 draws power from a handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 bi-turbo engine that is tuned to churn out power of 585 bhp and torque of 850 Nm. The car receives an additional 48V mild-hybrid setup that offers an additional electric boost of 15 kW. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds. The boxy SUV has an electronically limited top speed of 240 kmph.
The updated AMG G 63 comes loaded with launch control, Active Ride Control suspension, adaptive adjustable damping, transparent hood function, and hydraulic roll stabilization. It houses an AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system for rough terrains.
