Mercedes-Benz, one of India’s leading luxury car automakers, has rolled out the new C 300 AMG Line in the Indian market. The auto giant has also updated its C-Class sedan and GLC SUV with new features and powertrains. The newly added C 300 petrol variant is available at a price of INR 69 lakh (ex-showroom). The German auto marque continues to sell the updated C-Class model in three variants: the C 200d, the C 200, and the all-new C 300. In the brand’s C-Class range, the new petrol trim has replaced the older diesel-powered C 300d variant.
The C 200d and C 200 variants are priced at INR 62.85 lakh and INR 61.85 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Apart from the regular C-Class Mercedes, the company also offers the performance-oriented C 43 AMG in India at a price of INR 98.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The C new 300 AMG line is being offered in an exclusive Patagonia Red paint and Sodalite Blue paint finish. The CEO and MD of Mercedes-Benz India, Santosh Iyer, said that the company unveiled the new variant due to the increasing demand for diesel models in the luxury sedan category.

The top-of-the-line C 300 model is available with the AMG Line package, which incorporates many AMG-specific interior touches and sportier front and back bumpers. The new C-Class model also gets the 'Night Package’, which provides a sleek blacked-out look inside the cabin. The Mercedes-Benz C 300 comes equipped with features like Mercedes’ Digital Lights headlamp tech, Burmester 3D sound system, an augmented reality display, a keyless go package, navigation system, remote boot operation, and blind spot assist.
The Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that is mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine churns out 255 bhp of power and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The brand is also offering a mild hybrid system, the integrated starter generator (ISG), that offers an additional power boost of up to 23 bhp and peak torque of 205 Nm. The car can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6 seconds.
Mercedes has updated the C-class lineup with some new advanced features. The C 220d diesel and C 200 petrol now houses ventilated front seats, six USB type-C fast charging ports, 360-degree cameras, adaptive high beam assist, and a digital key. Mercedes’ highest-selling SUV in India, the GLC SUV, is now available with additional features such as heated and ventilated front seats and nine airbags.
