The German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch the EQA electric SUV in India on July 8, 2024. The brand is all set to expand its EV portfolio in the country with new car models. The upcoming EQA model will be the company’s fourth electric vehicle after the EQE SUV, EQS, and EQB. It is expected to be placed below the Mercedes-Benz EQB in the brand’s lineup. The EQA is the smallest pure-electric version of the GLA crossover and will compete with the likes of the C40 Recharge, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and BMW iX1.
Mercedes-Benz earlier announced plans to launch six electric vehicles in India in the coming years. The all-electric EQA is one of the six launches confirmed by the automaker. The auto giant will launch the EQA in India in a facelifted avatar. The same model was unveiled in global markets in August last year. The upcoming battery-powered sports utility vehicle will be introduced as a fully imported CBU model.
