The luxury car manufacturer JSW MG Motor India has updated its Storm range with two new limited editions: the MG Astor Blackstorm and Hector Snowstorm. The luxury car manufacturer has re-introduced the Astor Blackstorm edition for the 2024 model year. The Blackstorm version is being offered at a starting price tag of INR 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG already offers the Blackstorm editions of the Astor SUV in the Indian market. This time the brand has introduced a more affordable version. The 2024 Astor limited edition is available in two distinct trims: Select MT and Select CVT. It takes inspiration from the mid-spec Select variant.

MG Astor Blackstorm Edition Exterior
The all-new MG Astor Blackstorm version features a black theme on the exterior. There is an all-black honeycomb pattern on features like a panoramic sunroof and grille. It comes equipped with black-finished front and rear bumpers, black side door cladding, black roof rails, black-finish headlamps, and glossy black door garnish. The MG Astor Blackstorm Edition rolls on black alloy wheels with red brake calipers.

Inside, the Astor Blackstorm special edition features a dark theme along with red stitching. It comes equipped with a range of advanced amenities like a digital Bluetooth key, black Tuxedo upholstery with red stitching, JBL speakers, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and a multi-purpose camera. Other features incorporate a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, 49 safety features, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, 80+ i-SMART features, a wireless phone charger, and Level 2 ADAS.
MG Astor Blackstorm Edition Powertrain
Under the bonnet, the Astor Blackstorm draws power from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The unit can churn out 110 bhp of power and torque of 144 Nm. It is paired with either a CVT or a five-speed manual transmission. In its segment, the MG Astor rivals the likes of the Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, VW Taigun, Citroen Basalt, and Tata Curvv.
MG is offering the Astor Blackstorm and the newly launched Hector Snowstorm with its maintenance program, the Shield. Under the new maintenance program, buyers will get a 3+3+3 service package for the period of three years. These include warranty, roadside assistance, and labor-free periodic services.
