BMW Group India has announced the launch of all-electric Mini 3-Door Cooper SE on February 24, 2022 in the country. To be sold as a CBU in a single fully loaded variant, it is the first all-electric offering from Mini. The brand has imported 30 units of the electric hatchback in the first batch for the Indian market. Mini 3-Door Cooper SE bookings had already begun in India a few months back and the first batch has already been sold out with all the 30 units being booked. The deliveries are expected to start by April 2022.
Having its world premiere almost three years back in 2019, Mini 3-Door Cooper SE is based on the regular 3-door Cooper hatchback. It retains the design of the petrol power hatch with elements like circular LED headlamps, Union Jack-themed LED tail-lamp cluster and the signature silhouette. It flaunts a blanked-out front grille with a new ‘E’ badge which differentiates it from the standard version. In addition, the front and rear bumpers have been modified while adding yellow accents on the door mirror caps and wheels. It has a 15mm higher ground clearance than the standard 3-door Cooper hatchback. Mini 3-Door Cooper SE will be available in four color options namely White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey and British Racing Green.
