Mini has revealed the third iteration of its JCW John Cooper Works Countryman in the international market. The new car will go on sale in 2024. Mini also unveiled the electric Countryman a few months ago. The new petrol Countryman line-up comes with new notable changes.
The electric countryman has a closed-off grille, while the John Cooper Works (JCW) has a closed-off grille pattern that channels air into the engine compartment, and a secondary air inlet is located directly below. The John Cooper Works (JCW) Countryman gets newly designed 19-inch alloy wheels with 20-inch units as an option. The C-pillar is covered in a chili red paint finish, and new vertical LED taillights grace the rear end. The red calipers give better braking control and broader 245mm tires.

Inside the cabin, both Electric Countryman and JCW share the same features. As compared to the standard model, the new SUV gets sportier front seats. The JCW comes with a sportier color finish. Some revised graphics have also been added to the central OLED display. To provide riders with a better driving experience, the new car gets a Go-Kart mode. According to the manufacturer, the driving modes, also known as the Mini Experience modes, have been added to the car to provide a unique sound system. The Go-Kart mode enhances the noise of the exhaust and engine.
Powering the John Cooper Works (JCW) Countryman is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 312 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The unit has optimized pistons, connecting rods, and a de-throttled air intake. To enhance the performance of the unit, it incorporates a double-drive exhaust turbocharger. In just 5.2 seconds, the JCW can go up to 0-100 kmph, and it has a top speed of 250 kmph. This car comes equipped with a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system incorporating hands-free driving at up to 60 kmph. The Driving Assistant Professional option pack offered by Mini makes the Level 2 advanced driver assistance system available in the new car.
