The more than adequate diesel powertrain has a 2.0-liter four-pot engine with 204hp and 400Nm torque. Both of these engines have been packaged with 48V mild-hybrid technology for better efficiency and an added boost of 24hp.
The serious SQ5 Sportback is fitted with a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI petrol engine with mild hybridization. It's currently rated at an impressive 362hp and 550Nm. All engines are mated to Audi Quattro All-Wheel drive system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This gives it a very nimble and smooth feeling while driving.
Launch and Market Prospects
The European road show for the new Audi Q5 Sportback will soon end. Upon its conclusion, Audi is expected to announce availability in India as competition with the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
