The famous Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has unveiled its new GT flagship car, named the Ferrari 12Cilindri. The new sports car is the most powerful pure-combustion vehicle produced by the brand to date. The 12Cilindri is the successor to the 812 Superfast, and it offers increased power, a range of innovative technologies, and a fresh design language.

The chief marketing and commercial officer of Ferrari, Enrico Galliera, stated that the brand-new 12Cilindri "opens a new chapter in Ferrari history." The new car is wider, longer, and taller than the 812 Superfast. However, the wheelbase has been reduced by 20 mm. The Italian luxury sports car maker has revealed both the open-roof Spider and the hard-top coupé variants of the Ferrari 12Cilindri. In Italy, the hard-top coupé variant of the 12Cilindri is priced at €395,000, while the open-roof Spider comes at a price of €435,000.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. There is no turbocharging or hybrid assistance in the new models. The unit retains much of the technology utilized in the 812 Competizione’s V12. The engine generates peak power of 819 bhp at 9,250 rpm and peak torque of 678 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The unit is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which Ferrari claims shifts 30 percent quicker than the one in earlier V12 Berlinetta versions. Rear-wheel steering is another feature shared by the 12Cilindri and the 812 Competizione.

The new 12Cilindri can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. It can acquire a high speed of over 339 km/h. The low-set nose of the 12Cilindri features rectangular headlamps on either side of the grille. The car has a long bonnet that features a set of horseshoe vents to help remove hot air from the engine room, while the fenders also include functional vents directly behind the front wheels.

Inside the cabin, the car has the same features as the Purosangue SUV. Both the driver and passenger get their own digital display. However, the 12Cilindri comes equipped with a 10.25-inch central infotainment touchscreen.
