The updated Jawa 42 motorcycle has been recently launched in the Indian market with new engine and feature upgrades. Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is offering its new retro-styled bike at a starting price of INR 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant. The Jawa 42 price for the base variant is around INR 17,000 more affordable than the outgoing version. Jawa Motorcycles has also reduced the price of the Jawa 42 range from INR 9,000 to INR 25,000. The new model of Jawa 42 comes in eighteen variants.
The Jawa 42 on road price in Delhi is INR 1.99 lakh for the outgoing model. The two-wheeler giant has said that despite the price reduction, the updated Jawa 42 has received several enhancements in terms of weight distribution, NVH levels, power delivery, and many more. The all-new Jawa 42 will be retailed at the brand’s 400 touchpoints across India. By the end of 2024, the company plans to set up over 600 outlets nationally. Jawa Motorcycle will unveil more variants of the Jawa 42 in the coming months. Additionally, the latest Jawa 42 bike is now available with cosmetic updates and 14 new color schemes, out of which six new shades have been specially introduced for the latest model.

2024 Jawa 42 Specifications
The Jawa 42 has a new retro-style design, and it features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a circular headlamp along with a flyscreen on top, and a curved rear fender. The motorcycle’s seat has also been tweaked a little to provide more comfort to riders. The new Jawa bike comes equipped with a fully digital LCD instrument panel, which is also integrated into the 42 Bobber and the Yezdi range. The Jawa 42 top speed is measured at 120 kmph.
Powering the new Jawa 42 is a 294.7-cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out a power of 27 bhp and a peak torque of 26.84 Nm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, and it gets an assist-and-slipper clutch. The 294.7-cc is the third-generation J-Panther motor that enhances power delivery. The engine received a better-balanced crankshaft, better thermal efficiency, and less blow-by for enhanced NVH levels. The company claims that the new gearbox provides smoother shifts with fewer transmission errors.
The 2024 Jawa 42 is underpinned by a double-cradle frame with telescopic forks up front, and at the back, it gets dual shock absorbers. It has 175 mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 785 mm. The 2024 Jawa 42 rolls on 17-inch rear and 18-inch front alloy wheels. Braking duties are done by disc brakes at both ends, along with dual-channel and single-channel ABS options.
