The luxury car manufacturer Audi recently released a new teaser of the third-generation Q5. The brand is gearing up to unveil the new Audi Q5 globally on September 2, 2024. Audi has confirmed that the upcoming SUV will be the company’s last ICE-powered Q5. The German carmaker’s SUV portfolio will now include more hybrids and mild-hybrid models. 

The next-generation Audi Q5 will take inspiration from the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture. The same platform also underpins the brand's next-generation hybrid and internal combustion powertrains. In the new teaser, the brand has showcased headlights of the next-gen Q5. The Audi Q5 remains largely unchanged appearance-wise, but the rear fenders have now received a sportier look. It will feature a redesigned headlamp cluster.

The third-generation Audi Q5 will feature a wider single-frame grille, followed by vertical vents on both sides. At the rear, the Audi Q5 is expected to feature slim LED tail lights along with an LED light bar. On the inside, the upcoming Audi Q5 will house a dual-screen entertainment unit that is also equipped in the Q6 e-tron. It will also receive a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. 

Audi has not revealed the next-gen Q5’s specifications; however, the SUV is expected to come with both petrol and diesel engine options with 48V mild-hybrid technology. The higher variants will receive Audi’s Quattro AWD system, whereas the entry-level trims will be offered with the FWD system.

The current-generation Audi Q5 is currently available in India at an initial price of INR 65.51 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to INR 72.30 lakh (ex-showroom) for the newly launched Bold Edition.
