Inside the cabin, the Swift is likely to get more significant updates like the prototype unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show. The Indian-spec model will get a three-spoke steering wheel and a flat bottom. It will come equipped with a floating touchscreen infotainment system, whereas the AC controls have been retained from the Suzuki Fronx. It will be fascinating to watch if Maruti introduces the model's black-and-white interior to the Indian market, as it was displayed in Japan.

The new-gen Swift is likely to come with features like cruise control, keyless entry, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, push-button start/stop, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with Android Auto compatibility and wireless Apple CarPlay, and more. The Swift is expected to get safety features like six airbags, ABS along with ESC, EBD, and a reverse camera.

The Hatchback also bid farewell to the 1.2-litre K-Series 4-cylinder petrol motor and has included the new 1.2-litre Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol unit in the global markets. The new engine is likely to churn out 88 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to manual and automatic transmission options.
